Calendar Event: November 1, 2004

From: "Networking in Progress" <info@networking-in-progress.nl>

Dear Friend,

Felix Meritis cordially invites you to take part in the debate on the
future of culture in Europe. This debate begins here, by answering the
questionnaire, and will culminate in a closing conference in Berlin in
November 2004:

THE BERLIN CONFERENCE FOR EUROPEAN CULTURAL POLICY

We are very keen that your voice should be heard. This way Felix Meritis
can ensure that your opinion on an inventory of topics will count. Felix
Meritis is approaching all those with whom it has a relationship
throughout Europe, whether in the old and in the new Member States, as
well as in the countries which (still) are not members of the European
Union.

I would welcome a personal statement from you and would ask to fill in
the questionnaire. Eventually about fifty people from those who respond
will be invited to express their ideas and opinions at the conference.

Because it is about clear statements, from mostly the younger generation
of decision makers in the new Europe, Felix Meritis wants to make the
responses public so that they can lead to e-mail correspondence or
participation in future seminars, conferences and networks. This will
happen by means of the People Network (see attached) a huge e-mail
platform and database, developed to meet the demand of interaction
between people all over Europe.

We also would like to ask you to enclose your photo (passport size -
please) so that the debate can also become visible. Please be aware that
by filling in your personal data and returning it to us you are giving
authorisation to Felix Meritis / the People Network to publish,
distribute and multiply your answers.

TAKE PART IN THE FUTURE OF EUROPE, read the instructions and fill in the
questionnaire.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Please do not hesitate to pass this letter on to those who might be
interested.
