Hi guys.

Subject line says it all. Anyone know of a good substitute? it's a P-channel JFET. Google hasn't turned up anything, and the usual UK suppliers I know don't seem to have any....
FWIW, the Fairchild datasheet blurb says it's a general purpose amplifier, and "This device is designed primarily for low level audio and general purpose applications with high impedance signal sources. Sourced from Process 89.6:"

http://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/50040/FAIRCHILD/2N5460.html

I don't have hardcopy comparison books/tables, and have so far not found any URLs - Any help or links is greatly appreciated.

cheers,
Dave

Hey Kokoon - how about that, I'm building a few EFM 3506 glide/pitch bend boards. Smile
Tom G uses them in his 3512 LFO/VCA design too. They do seem easier to get hold of in the US than Europe though.....

They don't *seem* to be particularly unique in what they do......
Same as you, I'm curious to know if there's a workable equivalent.

cheers,
Dave

hehe, I too am working on EFM Wildcat glide module Smile

it's just just as a simple voltage controlled switch there, so i'm thinking any p-fet should do (with high enough voltage rating). i'll try to make it work with a 2N5116 (30V) tonight, it's a TO-18 package though. i'll let you know.

other substitutes i got from another forum were: 2SJ103, 2SJ105 and BS250. but i wasn't able to get any of them.
