Subject description: NL3 dies when MIDI in makes note on

My old Nord lead 3 dies after about half an hour . It seem like something happens in the MIDI input in which it is connected to a FBC1010 f MIDI foot controller. There is nothing you can do - you just have to turn it on and off then it works for another half an hour. To pull out the midi in cable does not help.
The problem must be with the MIDI connection inside the NL3 - All the other keyboards connected to the FBC 1010 works. The same thing happened with my old KORG as I thought was old enough to retire but now also on the NL3.
Yes it is an old machine but why does it collapse when the MIDI in is connected? Sign of age?
Any one any idea?
Anders

Yes and thanks that is a good thought and maybe there is something with the power supply. But not with th main power, as the NL3 is still lit - only thing there is no sound and it does not respond to any commands.
It is a known fact that clavia is not having power supply to their MIDI out or though ( which can be quite annoying) buts in this case it is in the MIDI in. Something with the MIDI in signal that freeze the old harvester Confused
