In my experience - NANDulators with 12-15V supplies can be hard to wake if the charge capacitors are in the xxxuf range.

I did a 2 bit switch with a CD4532, TL074 and a DG409 in my 100mm standard.
Passes 4>1 or 1>4 under the control of a 4532 without clocking.
Something nice about unclocked LED indication!
