you would think they'd have enough foresight to realize that while they were spending the money they earned selling nm1s to develop the g2 software.

Neither editor can service a modular that isn't its type, so the G1 editor can't edit a G2 type modular and vice versa.

that is... rather... that ISN'T the answer i was hoping for... but the answer i expected. and yes, you understood what i meant.

i didn't know that both editors were proprietary. g2=g2, but not nm1 ...

so i've been mucking about in ams trying to figure this one out.

when i open up the nm editor, i have to set the midi ports. there are four ports.

had to reinstall software and drivers and this and that...


then... after opening the midi page, in the editor, i have to manually set it to port 1.

tried switching those. i got a lot of noise... i can only assume the noise is due to reversed cables.

sorry to say. i'm having this very problem. i've just gotten my nord modular, installed everything i think/thought i needed and still the mac doesn't seem to recognize it.

i'm not a total tard, but ...
