Leading music school Point Blank have launched a fully interactive online course, teaching aspiring producers the practical skills they need to make great tunes, but without the need to travel to classes. Now professional production techniques can be learned by anyone, anywhere in the world, all from the comfort of their own home.

All tutors at Point Blank are professional producers with a proven track record of successful productions and remixes. Among the teaching staff are Danny McMillan breakbeat pioneer and host of the annual Breakspoll Awards; JC Concato, whose production and remix credits include Portishead, Bjork and Pressure Drop and Danny J Lewis who has released tracks on Defected Afro Art and XL.

The course consists of a series of weekly online lessons delivered in an easy step-by-step style. Each week students access comprehensive course materials including detailed course notes, audio clips and video tutorials. Students work through practical assignments at home and then engage in weekly online discussion groups together with their tutor and classmates.

Point Blank is an Approved Training Centre for Steinberg, Apple and Native Instruments and courses are taught on all of the leading music packages – Cubase, Reason, Logic, Ableton Live and Pro Tools.
