ISC is now accepting submissions for 2007! Our final deadline of October 15th is quickly approaching!
Think you can make us laugh? ISC is excited to introduce a new category this year: Comedy/Novelty. Judging this category are "Weird Al" Yankovic, a Grammy Winner and the world's premier song parodist; from Arrested Development, Emmy-winning actor/writer/comedian David Cross, and Cheech Marin of Cheech and Chong.
Visit http://www.songwritingcompetition.com to enter any of our 19 categories now.
One of the largest songwriting competitions in the world, ISC offers entrants a chance to share in $150,000 in cash and prizes, including an Overall Grand Prize package of $25,000 (US) in cash and over $20,000 in merchandise, unmatched by any other songwriting competition. ISC winners benefit from extensive press and publicity, gaining exposure and recognition from an international music market of industry professionals and fans.
ISC welcomes original songs from musicians, artists, and songwriters at every level from amateur to professional. You may submit as many songs as desired in each category or enter the same song in more than one category.
ISC is unique because of its judges. Since its inception, ISC has been renowned for having the most prestigious judging panel of any competition in the world. Its judges include high-profile recording artists and respected music executives, such as: Tom Waits, Chris Hillman (The Byrds), Loretta Lynn, Robert Smith (the Cure), Frank Black (Pixies); Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse); Julian Casablancas (The Strokes); Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Craig Morgan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Cassandra Wilson, Joe Satriani, and many more (see complete list on left side of page). Entering ISC offers you an unprecedented opportunity to have your music heard by these influential members of the music industry.
