I used Inkscape to do the graphics on the computer. Printed the image out on an iron-on transfer, the kind for ironing on to dark colored t-shirts. Ironed it on to the face of the enclosure and gave it a few coats of clear lacquer. I've been doing my stompbox graphics this way for years and it seems to hold up really well.

That is sheer genius Charlie. Looks like it yields excellent results.

I definitely love these smallbear knobs. (in the pix above, banzai ones were too big for me)

Love those rectangular LEDs!
How do you mount them on the front panel?

That's a good question I can't remember offhand. Going to do some digging and hopefully get back to you. I love them too, so hopefully I can find them again to get more.

Wow, David, that looks great. That's how wiring is supposed to look, unlike mine.
Here's mine, which I just finished -

very much on the cheap, cheerful, rough and ready side, here's my tau and triple chorus:
as you can see, it's been a bit of a learning curve keeping the drill steady and straight! got a bit of wonky charm in the rack though. And make my cheetah sound lllllllllovely, most importantly. Went with the ultra cheap abs cases, despite someone saying they werent good for music on this forum. Seem to work fine though. Im on a budget, ya heard!
I quite like the no writing element, probably a non-starter if you are talking modular synths though, unless you have photographic memory. |

Very impressive design. It sounds amazing for "natural" sounds such as voice and instruments, but is also a great timbral modifier for synthesized sounds. I've always wanted a pitch shifter and I wasn't disappointed. It was a big project, but I had a lot of fun building it. Thanks Jurgen!
I had the front panel ecthed at Front Panel Express up in Seattle Washington. Nice folks and they did a great job. The panel is based on Jurgen's orginal hand drawn design with a few small mods. I'm happy with the control layout.

They're Kilo knobs. I think I got them from Allied electronics here in the US. Nice machined aluminum, but not cheap. I think the big ones were about $12 each.

I believe it's FPD's "Helvetica 4-stroke," done with the 0.2 thickness tool. Not sure what the various size or skew numbers are - I set them once years ago, and just copy and paste when making new panels.
It may be helpful to note that you can split words up into multiple text objects, then manually align them as a workaround for FPD's rigid text kerning (where some letter combinations appear so distant to one another that it almost looks as if an accidental "space" has been included).
Cheers,

Hi, here are my three JH projects. The Frequency shifter, Dimension D, and the Triple Chorus. All were a pleasure to build and sound fantastic. Thanks JH I'm looking forward to building more of your projects

Finished my Living VCOs |

for your time designing these and of course for providing these boards. These modules sure brought some additional "life" to my modular. Especially the Living VCOs were far better than what I expected!! They certainly have some of that Yamaha CS-series character/feel that I totally love!
