So amazing that all that functionality fits on such a small PCB!

hey ryk
looking forward to this
i have a couple of questions

what are the panel controls exactly?
i have tried to look at your photos but can't zoom in enough
i'm trying to work out my panel now and have to consider why kind of rotary switches im going to get.

also since i have reserved 2, is there there be a way to chain them?

I'd also be in for two of these if a 2nd run happens. Looks very nice.

Thanks, Ian

I missed this one Sad
If you do a second run I would like 1 pcb. If someone cancels their order I would be happy to buy their pcb.

i'd love to be on the list for 2 PCBs (with PICs).

so, to echo the sentiments above...

if someone cancels, or a 2nd run is done, please count me in!

and, really great work.

It has been updated a bit since the panel photo
with a few new functions [thank you forum]

Here is the list of panel components:-

CV Controls
8 X pots.

Gate mode
8 X 4-way switches

Stage count
8 X 8-way switches

Tempo, Portamento, Gate time, Stages
4 X pots [although stages could be an 8-way switch]

Seq mode
1 X 4-way switch

Stage Subdivision
1 X 4-way switch

Voltage Range
1 X 2-way switch

Stop/Start, Reset, Prev, Next
4 X push button switches

CV Out, Gate Out, Clock In, Clock Out, Stage Control CV
5 X jack sockets.

There is a list in the BOM posted previously, but it is just refers
to quantity and not direct functions, sorry.

You can link two seq. together by taking the "clock out" from
on into the "clock in" on the other.
The master seq. will then have control over both seq. tempo, and
also the gate time.

thanks

that is a lot of rotary switches!

perhaps a group-buy is in order to get some NKK miniture rotary switches for cheap.

Wow those are expensive.

You could try these, although they are a bit bigger.

Its planned that i draw a PCB for those switches( like the alphas) , so one can wire those with Ribboncable as used for Euro Powerconnections.
but it will then need some more space . ( MTA.100 connectors will fit too )

To get them etched for myself will take some time as i must hope that a friend has the Time.
So it will be untested maybe
you would need those switches in the printmount version. Maybe keep that in mind

r--
speaking for myself: take your time. i'm as anxious as i'm sure you are to get this going, but i'd rather wait until you're completely comfortable w/ the product than have you rush something out there prematurely. i very much appreciate your generosity in sharing this project, i have an idea of how much work & effort is involved.

allbests,
bbob

I really like those NKK switches, what are we looking at pricewise?

Here is the wiring diagram for the panel components
which you might need.
It is fairly particular, but hopefully not too tricky.

Note that you can also use a pot to select the number of repeats per stage, as the input on the micro is actually an A/D input. You don't get the distinct 'steps' you do with a switch, but it certainly simplifies the wiring (you don't need the switch and the resistor voltage dividers anymore). the truly adventurous might even want to add an external CV input for modulating this. :-0

Tim (doesn't have distinct 'steps' either) Servo

Hello.

Yes, Tim is correct the switches can be replaced by 50k pots, like
the Max Stages option at the top of the drawing.

Please note tho, the resistors on the "stage" switches are only for the first
switch, the rest are all wired in parallel with this first switch.
I hope this makes sense.

I'm not able for now to draw something.
I must first see the Board to understand i'm fear,
and i any way think for now that i gonna build with Pots then.
It really seems to be much simpler to build with pots, AND spacesaving
