Elektor Formant books Subject description: Searching for the second and third Formant books |
 |
|
I'm searching for attachments A through F of the German edition of the 2nd book about the Formant (Formant-die Erweiterungen). I have the first book by C. Chapman in English and the second book by M.F.P. Aigner as an pdf-file in French, but I my French and online translators are insufficient to translate from French to English (or German).
I am also still looking for the third book, “Formant-Pro Modulares Sound System MMS2000” by Hans-Joachim Helmstedt.
If someone is willing to part from the last two books, then I would be interested to buy them. Even pdf- files or copies would make me a happy man.
Greetings from Holland

Hi,
I have both of these. The German book I need for my own Formant modular, but I can give you copies of those pages you need.
As for the "Formant-Pro" book: are you really sure you want that? It is really, really bad. I have built many of those modules, but had to do a lot of changes to make them work properly. The book is full of errors. I have noted many of the errors in the book, so the book is not in excellent shape anymore.
I live in Norway.

Hi TW,
Sorry to respond this late to your answer, but because of vacation and a move of my employer I had no time for synth diy in a while.
In the meantime I have decided not to build the Formant. I have been checking the availability of components en some of them are really hard to get and if they are, they are very expensive. The project would become to costly for me if I would build it as I planned.
Thanks for responding though.

terjewinther: I am interested in the formant pro book, for learning purposes, and, because I found a list of its errors.
