Arduino goes head to head with the Raspberry Pi |
 |

This was announced today at the Maker Faire in San Mateo, California.

At $69 it provides a lot of capability for web-based wifi projects.
I'm curious about the specs & performance on the Linux side though.
The Raspberry Pi running t 700Mhz is pretty sluggish when you run the graphical desktop, but if you run it at 850Mhz without the GUI, it's not too bad. _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

Raspbian- which is based on Debian. (probably where the -ian comes from in Raspbian)
I don't boot to the graphical desktop though, it's too slow even at 900Mhz. _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

I'll wait for the official release. My medical insurance doesn't cover bleeding edge injuries _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |
