MFOS noise toaster

hi clever people out there, maybe someone can educate me.
I've built some guitar effects but synths are new to me.

I'm planning to build a MFOS noise toaster, I'd like the LFO to go a bit slower.

Will increasing C16 work? will changing R48 also have an effect?

C16 yes.
R48 has some effect but mostly on the maximum frequency since it is much smaller than R49.
And if you make it much larger than it is now you get a smaller range.

Hello again!

I've now built the noise toaster, pretty pleased with the result but I have one question— the VCO is continuously modulating even when AR mod and LFO mod are turned all the way down. The freq moves up and down slowly, by a small amount not in relation to AR or LFO rate.

Is this normal behaviour or have I messed something up?

Changes I made from the standard build—
subbed R5, R16, R30 2M for 2M2 (couldn't find 2M)

subbed R34 3M for 3M3 (couldn't find 3M)

swapped S4 for 250k log pot to control noise amount

any help much appreciated!

ignore above post, I realised I had the env mod switch the wrong way round so it was modding the VCO even with the pot all the way down!

Hi All, here's some pics of my finished MFOS Noise Toaster, I made the enclosure mostly with hand tools so it's a bit rough and ready but I'm happy with it!

More importantly this thing makes a great variety of sounds from subtle warbling and drones all the way to crazy modulation Very Happy

how did you do the graphics, is it printed on or a transparent overlay ?

I used dry transparent dry rub decal paper. I printed it off on one sheet but due to my hamfisted drilling, (no drill press), things didn't line up perfectly so I had to cut it up and apply it in parts which was tricky to line up! I used a posca pen to touch it up here and there…
