Question My question is howto reset the Clkgen when the G2 Engine is set as slave. Midi timeclock starts and stop from a master keyboard. It only works when the patch is saved when sequence is at start position. But when i stop in live situation it is just continiuing from this position when i restart. But my sirius synth restart at first bar. So i'm no more synchron in time. A sample of my problem is in this thread.

Has anybody an idea.

I moved this thread from the experimental patches area to here, as I thought it would have a better chance of being picked up by others this way.

Jan.

I don't think there's a simple way to do it, since the patches don't have access to the midi start and stop commands.
I usually end up setting one of the front panel buttons to do a manual resync. It resets the sequencers, clock dividers or whatever.
Useful also for syncing to someone else if we're not midi-connected.

Isn't it great?
It's the best control surface I've seen, because
1. the knobs can be assigned to anything, including combinations via morph
2. the knobs are already in the right position when you pull up a patch
3. you can assign your own labels to them
4. the paging scheme gives you quick access to lots of knobs, laid out in way you can decide yourself
5. there are also buttons for momentary or on/off functions

I tend to set the first row of knobs to be the things I will most likely want to control in real time.

Oh sorry, you said you have an engine.
Look what you're missing!
Get yourself a Behringer BCR2000.
It's the next best thing, and not too expensive.

Idea
Thanks 3phase,
Your fix gives me a idea how reset works.
I'm just a beginner in the sequencing technik, sound is more my world.
But your modfied fix give me light Idea
I found a very easy way to reset. I just use Clk aktiv and sync combined with a gate and send it back to reset. I send her the new perf.
Just an other question, is there an easy way to diplay a logical signal in the editor to see if state is on or off ?

A gate in OR mode will display the state of a logic signal on it's LED.
You only need one input connected.

Just for egw,
Thanks i have a Remote 25 merged with a Elka MK55 to control the Engine. My problem was, or is still "how seq module are they really working" It is still a bit foggy.
English is only my third language after german and french. So sometime the manual is not completely clear for me.

That's ok the manual isn't always completely clear for English speakers either! And some things you only learn by playing around with it for a while.

Be sure you are using the new 1.2 manual which is avaliable from Clavia's web site here http://www.clavia.com/products/manuals.htm

This manual is much improved over the 1.0 manual which was shipped with the first G2s. Also, don't overlook the online help files. Right click on a module and select HELP. There are lots of goodies hidden in there, including clever tricks and suggestions.
