I'd buy now. They are not talking about 6 yet, and NI is famous for coming out with a buggy first vers. It'll be a month or two to work out the bugs. That's a good price and the update will either be free or not too bad. V 5 is quite good.

Is that for an upgrade ?

I had a look around and it seems like everyone here wants over 350 Euro for a fresh one, a non-ugrade I mean.

No, full product. My guess is that next month will begin the free upgrade to version 6. Laughing

I have to say I'm excited. I've always been a synth user not programmer/patcher. I've done a little with Tassman but in spite of the fact that it does some things very well I have been frustrated by the lack of a low level interface.

That's a great deal on Reaktor. I paid a whole lot more than that for Reaktor 3 years ago.

I received Reaktor 5 three days ago. I've played with it just enough to be convinced of its musicality. All the rest of my spare time has been spent with the manuals and it looks like that'll be the situation for a while.

I've had Reaktor for 10 days. I've given every discretionary moment in this time (save for watching one DVD) to Reaktor (program, manuals, forum, tutorials) and am just starting to get it and have a long way to go. Learning the builder is harder than I expected it to be, but then, it is more powerful than I had imagined.

I was quite chuffed to be building instruments quite soon after buying it, then I looked at the core manual and realised I knew nothing...

Once you've worked it out, Bachus, care to enlighten the rest of us?! Very Happy
