Hey, just thought I'd share some ideas from a little creativity session to some of my favorite music. I do believe that almost all or maybe all of them are done, not sure. Anyway I'm open sourcing them under the Creative Commons 4.0 Share Alike license.

Les

fireworks shaped to explode a specific design when ignited
same for other processes that transform from one form to another
use mapping function to reverse the translation
in color
raster scan
spray pattern of shotguns
shoot a bugs bunny hole in a target Smile

FDM / FFF 3D printers with fan-shaped nozzles
take wide swath of voxels in raster scan or other programmed motions
use hi temp solenoids at each nozzle opening to gate the flow of filament
multi color versions

3D printed bonsai wire forms
grow small trees into specific shapes without all the skills required to wrap copper wire
amplify skill of master bonsai experts and educate beginners
same for blooms
dye and multiple dye exists today
change growth pattern to alter shape of flowers
make shapes meaningful to people

make the flowers dance
put muscle wires in plants and allow them to grow around muscle wire cores
place muscle wires on stalks and secure at ends

talking bible
also for any book
combine paper book with voice synth chips
book guides
LED lights to indicate page
circuitry on paper pages

launch rocket craft with “buddy system”
if one craft has a “Major Tom” scenario, other craft saves crew

3D printer subtractive nozzle - vacuum removes part of print
works with additive nozzle

3D printer multiplicative, divisive, pow(), all math function types
for mapping the combination of filaments or other purposes

book with LED ink on individually addressable letters

community resources - join neighborhood clubs for sharing expensive resources
like property timeshares but with things like fast cars, flying cars, etc.

exoskeleton for teaching how to play musical instruments
buy the moves of your favorite guitarist for example
body guides for athletic recording and teaching
HUD glasses to guide motion
business applications for factory workers, skilled labor, etc.
teach how to fold paper airplanes, origami, etc.
pottery wheel, hobby teaching

safety blades for hobby knives or kitchen knives
flexible or pressure sensitive in such a way as to cut food but not skin
when cutting bread, blade is stronger than when cutting flesh or bone

motorcycle car (old idea)
two motorcycles with parallel connections

lie detection system
wearable computing cam/audio/temp/light spectrum observation streams
AI to detect truth/lie, optical indicators

something to make Police safer
VR map of buildings from outside
save other ideas for more private situation for security reasons

electronic wedding rings
diamond illuminations
lasers

jewelry powered by skin batteries
like lemon juice battery
MEMS generators

No replies yet but a bunch-o-reads (mostly bots perhaps), so I'll add some more content here.

I've decided to contain my enthusiasm as much as possible when I get an idea. Open source is a wonderful advancement for all of us - some kind of great gift it's true, however closed source has it's place as well and a balance is probably best in the long run.

I don't have all the answers - as usual I'm learning too. So for now I'll just keep this short and simple enough. It's just me being myself with my friends again and it feels really good right about now!

The problem with existing polygraph testing, from what I've heard, is that they rely on body stress to show a reading. If you're dealing with a professional politician, someone who is naturally inclined to stay relaxed no matter what, or a sociopath who simply doesn't emotionally react, then the polygraph shows the same reading for both truth and lie, since the subject's pulse, temperature, skin conductivity (sweat) etc simply don't change between lie and truth.

So, with that in mind, developments in lie detection since then should be interesting Smile

even for non expensive ones, mostly tools like drills or of course soldering irons.

Some people have just putted a sticker on the post box with what they have to offer
