Arturia Beatstep Pro for DIY XoX clone synth Subject description: drum gates ? trigger accent |
 |
|
i'm planning a drum synth build, loosely based on the control using a beatstep Pro. Arturia states drum gates can be shrunk to 3ms. some of my voices will be Hexinverters' Pcbs and they have gate trigger conditioner built in.
will this device work fine without planning to add gate to trig on each input?
may do that later,
im building several of the clone stripboards to go in this.
still unsure how im going to deal with the accent input issue. |

Hi matinnin
I assume you mean kits like this: http://modularaddict.com/attachments/mutantbass/mutantbass.pdf
I don't see a schematic for this module listed on Modular addict (and BTW I find it very hard to build DIY kits without a schematic--can be extremely hard to troubleshoot a build fault--even for a very experienced builder).
If you can find that, and figure out a way to legally post the schemos of what you want to work on, I am sure someone on the forum can evaluate if a 3ms Trigger will make the thing go. _________________ Visit my AUDIODIWHY blog and website |

Working on refinement now |
 |
|
this was during my research . have moved well beyond this now. using beatstep for my Roland voices. ended up strip boarding trig conditioners for most because the beatstep trigs aren't quite crisp enough and would double trig and other things, all fully documented here in the strings on Strip board 808 voices
with the trig condition circuits all work as expected
Update: The issue that i have run into is that the Clock OUT is only 3.3V - and thats not enough to run my Modular. it will take Clock in no issue, but i wish it went the other way also, as this tool turns out to be quite a center for my Rig, and i really need it to center my time between midi and Clock.
i need to make a gain circuit for the clock out. Grrrrr |
