Hi all

I've been thinking if I should get a Polyend Tracker for Black Friday, since Thomann put the Banana version on promotion, for less than the price the regular version was going for...

But as I was doing some search, I found out that they have been changing the hardware used on these units...

The Artist Editions (including the Banana one), are still from the first version, with later models having round buttons and the latest version (the third) having a plastic bottom instead of metal one, and it seems they used rubber coating, which sucks (the knobs on my Korg Minilogue are all sticky because of that crap... :S).

In functional terms, I think the main difference is that the first versions can't be connected to a USB-C port, you need an adapter to actually get them to power on, which is really bad since my current computer has USB-C ports (which don't get any use, so they are perfect for the Polyend Tracker).
Also, the buttons on the second and third version seem to have a wider movement range (they go a bit higher as well).

So I am wondering, does anyone have experience with these units?
What's the best version to get?

I was quite set on the Banana version, as it would be nice to get a special version for less than the price of the regular one, but now the price of the regular unit has dropped (449 rather than 499)...
I rather pay less and get a better version, but I have the feeling it will be one with rubber coated bottom... :S

So any help would be appreciated! Very Happy

I guess I have the 2nd edition as it has usb c and is not the most recent.

It is pretty solid so I would recommend this version.
