Making money with YouTube - personal experience

Here's my personal experience on YouTube's monetization. I have uploaded 100 videos of live electronic music and observed how much income it made.

As I have understood it, there are people who make a living out of Youtube, but they have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of views.

Apparently Soundcloud is going the same way, but only for licenced content. This means that private uploads should stay unaffected.

Hey Joo Won Park!
I love the sounds! And really appreciate the data you've posted, although it's not particularly encouraging. I've been doing a lot of field recording of my own playing objects, and don't know what to do with it, maybe I'll also turn it into a YouTube channel and monetize, but I'm hoping to find a gallery where I can show it as a sound art project. Much more experimental than the stuff I've done before!
If anyone else has other statistics, I'd love to see them!

There are also companies/people who copyright claim the music you post on YouTube.
You can fight this claim, but that will take some weeks.
During these weeks you receive no money (if you normally does) and the above mentioned companies/people get the money you should normally get.
