Call for Volunteers - we need your help. Subject description: Help make electro-music 2006 a success! |
 |
|
electro-music 2006 is an event that is produced by the artistic community as a cooperative effort.
The tickets that we sell pay for the venue and other expenses. However, we also rely on volunteers to help with many functions leading up to and during the event. Volunteering to help out with some task or to bring some needed piece of equipment will give you a greater sense of participation and contribution.
Here is a list of tasks and items, for which we are seeking volunteers. If you can help out in any way, please contact us at event@electro-music.com
You don't need to be a performer / participant, anyone can volunteer!
Thanks!
Tasks
=====
sound techs - We will need several people to help set up, do sound checks, and keep an eye on the levels. We hope to have one person for each venue for each day. That's at least six, and maybe one or two more for the jams and demos.
stage managers - The stage manager will make sure that performers know where they need to be and when, and that their equipment gets set up properly. We will need at least two - one for each venue.
lighting - One or more people to turn the stage lights up and down during performances in the theater
graphics - A graphic artist to provide designs for the poster, sampler CD, T-shirts, and program
hosting - If you live in the Philadelphia area and have some space, it would be nice if you can provide a place to stay for someone coming from out of town.
Items
======
sound systems - Speakers and amps, or powered PA speakers, mixers. There are five different rooms that will need sound systems. We currently have three lined up.
long microphone (XLR) cables, 50-100 feet - for connecting the stages to the control room where recording and internet streaming will happen.
microphones and stands - one for each venue, for announcements, introductions, seminars
door prizes - if you have some extra CDs or other items to donate for door prizes, we'll raffle them off! |

I think these lodgers questions are best handled off line via PM or email to event(at)electro-music.com.
I'll contact you. _________________ --Howard

Great. Need lots of XLR cables so we can run lines from the two venues to the streaming computer. _________________ --Howard

electro-music 2006 will be kick-ass, beyond a reasonable doubt.

We still need a few volunteers to do sound engineering.
It's not difficult and we'll show you what to do.
Also, we have a request to borrow a guitar amplifier.
If you have one that you can bring, please let me know. |

Greetings!
I know it's down to the wire and I can help. You seem to be in search of a guitar amp. I can lend one as long as it's used properly a.k.a no LFO's, etc. I can set up mics, balance levels and run a board. I am available Friday night after Five and all day Sunday. Please let me know how I can be of service. My base-station is located in Willow Grove.
