Subject description: NordWest II beat manipulation patch

This is a patch I used at the NordWest II meet in Seattle (Jun 17th 06).
Here's a brief description of the setup before explaining the patch:

I used a laptop running Ableton Live which output 2 mono channels on a PodXT (used as an audio interface).
My G2 acted as master clock for Live which in turn sent clock via a Midex8 to Dasz, Paul and Matt.
I had several Live projects each with a corresponding G2 performance. All the Live projects were setup in the same fashion:
Loops to be processed by the G2 in tracks 1 and 2.
Loops to be mixed but not processed by G2 in tracks 3 and 4.
Midi arps/lead patterns in track 5 and output to slot B on my G2
Midi bass patterns in track 6 and output to slot C on my G2
Midi pad patterns in track 7 and output to slot D on my G2

I used the G2 keyboard to trigger slots in Ableton Live with each octave controlling a different track.

So now the patch ...
It is loosely based on a Reaktor patch by "Exile" .... see here:

Thanks!
The Exile patch is awesome, wish the g2 could do that!
Please, could you post a blank live project with the controllers already assigned?

You don't need a Live project to use this. Just route some audio into input 1 (main L) and load the patch into slot A (it will only work in slot A because of the midi control send modules).
You can also route audio into input 2 but it will only be mixed to the main outs unprocessed.

The midi mapping I was using in Live takes 30 seconds to setup and involved putting Live into midi map mode, clicking each clip and hitting a note on the G2 keyboard.

I would also like to know if this patch works on an unexpanded G2 ... Jan has been describing how to work this out in another thread ... but my head hurts trying to understand it Wink
