University of Leeds, United Kingdom: AISB 2004 Convention
Call for papers. Symposium on Gesture Interfaces for Multimedia Systems. The aim of this Symposium is to explore emerging technologies and applications in gesture controlled multimedia systems, expressive gesture analysis, modelling and synthesis; to increase awareness and exchange views and experiences in the use of gesture interface and interactive multimedia technologies, with particular interests in performing arts. Topic of interests include but not limited to gesture sensing, tracking, analysis of expressive gesture, modelling, synthesis of expressive gesture, animation, mapping strategies and many others. The symposium is designed to have an informal atmosphere to promote discussion and off an opportunity to provide demonstrations. Submission instructions: Paper submissions are in the form of extended abstract (2 to 4 pages in length) or full paper (up to 12 pages). Accepted papers will be published either in full papers (up to 12 pages) or short papers (up to 6 pages). The AISB 2004 Convention will be held beginning March 29, 2004.


Deadlines: February 1, 2004 for abstract submissions. March 3, 2004 for camera - ready copies. Submit papers by email in MS Word format to the email address below. Further information available on the web.
