Passing this along from Moogy.
-----

John Siomos (1947 - 2004) was an old friend and bandmate. He was also the drummer with Peter Frampton when they recorded the biggest selling album of all time - up to that time (1975) "Frampton comes Alive". John played drums on Todd Rundgren's biggest hit, "Hello, It's Me" and was the drummer playing with Todd, along with the rest of his band, Moogy and the Rhythm Kings, on Todd's ground breaking album, "A Wizard, A True Star". He started out as the drummer for Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels when they were the top act in America (1966). John even worked with Harry Belafonte for several years as his drummer. John played on my early solo albums and was in my band when I toured promoting those records.

As people attend John Siomos's funeral in Chicago today, I have put up a series of photos of John Siomos with two of his old bands,.... Moogy and the Rhythm Kings, and Peter Frampton. There are a lot of really nice shots here. So please take a look and remember an old friend and great drummer whom very few of us had seen in a very long time.

As I was preparing for the CD release of -"Moogy and the Rhythm Kings" live at Max's Kansas City - for the past few months, I was luck enough to obtains a slew of old photos of the band from rock photog legend Bob Gruen. And thanks to Richard Aaron, who photographed the cover of "Frampton Comes Alive" for including some great shots of John Siomos with Peter Frampton.

Still thinking of John and his legend,

Moogy Klingman
