Is anyone knows what material could replace the abestos (amiante in French) part efficiently, with the same peculiar quality....?

Most of owners Ondioline doesn't know the presence in it of Abestos and not at all harmless for the health

If you want to replace it for health reasons I don't think you have to worry because of the small quantity, short exposure while working on it and because it is normally confined within the instrument. If you need to replace it I would try some fairly dense fibreglass pad like is used for sound deadening in speaker enclosures. The dielectric properties should be similar. I'm not sure if the dielectric properties are important, may be just a compressible spacer. Air may be the real dielectric. Also could try using a thin foam rubber pad. Just an idea. I've always kept the asbestos, it is more original.

Ok for leaving it but what to do when it is desintegrated in a numerous parts not fixed to the board ? (like Dana one)...should we glue it ? ...with what ?

I would wrap it in plastic using part of a plastic bag, trim to size and seal it with mylar tape just the shape required and it should last forever.

I am restoring my second Ondioline, but this one differs from the first and from the schematics found at www.ondioline.com. Does anyone know if there are other schematics available?
