Is it possible to use two 1k 3500ppm Tempco's in series instead of a 2k Tempco?

Are there any drawbacks to this?

Cheers,
michel

i really don't know. i'm just curious:
do you ask this question in general or do you have a specific design in mind?

could it be, that you refer to the SN voice?
as long as the temco is in the feedback path of the inverting amp that mixes the incoming control voltages, we should easily be able to use a 1k tempco and divide the values of the resistors R33-R61 by 2 to maintain the ratio... that's exactly what ray did with his new improved VCO:

Fonik - that's exactly what I wanted to do Smile

I wonder if a 2k Tempco is more stable and/or accurate than a 1k Tempco.

cheers,
michel
