I agree with you in general - on where the code to recurse should be.

However, since g2ools already has 1 offspring, and more likely to follow, duplicating this code in every utility wouldn't be efficient, and restructuring nm2g2 + dx72g2 now, so the code to recurse is only in one location, might not be desirable. However, qf should chime in so we can hear what he thinks.

If it were done in the gui wrapper, it would only be done once, and should work for any g2ools offspring.
