BCR 2000 - Plastic Overlays |
 |
|
Hello to all users of the BCR 2000 rotary midi controller.
As a user of this controller I find it hard to remember all the parameters
I have set-up even when I find the appropriate paper 'maps'
We have designed and manufactured. Write-on plastic overlays
which are re-useable.
These are availiable directly from
http://www.lexplastics.co.uk/
Control your software & hardware
quickly and easily with 100% confidence.
The overlays are only for the BCR at the moment
There are no overlays availiable for the BCF
Thanks for reading

Got the overlays right away and I must say, the quality is most excellent!
Are you going to make ones for the BCF2000 Fader units as well?

We don't have any plans to make overlays for the BCF controller aswell
unless sales go really well.
Do most BCF users just use it to control mixer like functions,
(masking tape and a marker pen) tear it off and throw the tape away afterwards?
We dont own or use a BCF but can only assume the dimensions are about the same. Either faders or encoders are fitted to the unit.
There is a workround if anyone wants overlays for the BCF
The left hand side of the overlay could be modifyed (by cutting out the 2 strips of plastic)
but this would make the overlays quite fragile.
(This is a untested idea so might not work)
Thanks for the interest

Yes, true, many would use the faders for mixer functions, but, you can also assign them to many other functions like filters, envelope generators, tempo, etc ...
Yes, the BCF2000 is the same size box as the BCR2000. I am not sure I will hack my new overlays to use with a BCF unit. They are too expensive to cut apart.
Besides, I have been thinking about getting one of those new Novation Remote Zero SL units that feature software labeling. The unit has two 144 character displays and the computer will send the parameter data to the unit and displays each function. No overlay at all required ....
Thanks

The top portion of the BCF is identical to the BCR - 8 rotary encoders, 2 rows of 8 butons each, and the numeric display and 4 "encoder groups" buttons at the right. The 10 buttons on the right lower side of the controller are also identical. (Store/Learn, etc)
So, your existing overlays could be used on the row of encoders and buttons at the top of the BCF. The only thing you'd need to make to produce a BCF overlay set is the overlay for the faders -- everything else could be re-used.
I'd probably buy a BCF set if you sold it. |
