Gemini Wolf, Philadelphia based electro-dub-symphonic rock band is releasing their debut LP, 'Josiah'. To celebrate this release the band is having their CD Release party at Art@Sophi at 1241 Carpenter St. in South Philadelphia on Friday May 18.

The band has been playing clubs around Philadelphia, New York, Wilmington and Baltimore for the past two years. They have released singles on Nophi records as well as having a song chosen for the Philly CarShare SoundClash Vol. 1 CD.

Gemini Wolf's debut LP is a sonic journey through dozens of music genres. Combining dreamy vocals, acoustic guitars, Philly-style soul string arrangements, glitchy laptop programming, dubby bass and thunderous drums nine tracks are nestled together into tight dramatic compositions. The album has been produced and mixed by Mikronesia (Robots in Disguise), Gary Dann (Doodlebug, New Millionaires), Joe Bowie (Silent Assassins) and Bilwa (Hoopty Heaven and Perpetual Mvmt< >Snd).

The CD Release party will feature an extended set from Gemini Wolf, a performance from the mixed-media / free jazz group, Merle Keith and a set by The Hessians featuring Kilroy. Spinning a late night set will be the acclaimed DJ Frosty. Hanging at the Art@Sophi gallery will be work from the Phila.Cartoonists Society along with other art work curated by Art@Sophi. In the main room with Gemini Wolf will be legendary artist, David Gerbstadt, doing projections, interactive art and videos. Also featured at the show will be a 'House of Josiah' photos series, surveying a surrealistic domestic landscape through photos and artwork from the album, by Gemini Wolf singer/songwriter, Pandar.
