Thanks to a post by Howard,
I checked out some mp3s on mikronesia's site from
the first OPEN SOURCE night. I include one by William Fields
along with some other online mp3 finds for a new compilation
program to stream.

I also did another "mash up" mix for the program's intro.
Mash up is another way of saying "playing two or more pieces of pre-recorded music concurrently." in case you were wondering.
and hey if all you want is electronic explorations on the edge, check out the tracks by Roel Meelkop and Herbert Bruen by skipping ahead on the stream or clicking their links on the playlist.

Okay here's the copy I've been posting online elsewhere:

Headtones Online Radio and links guide
non profit - no registration required
now totalling over 21 hours of streaming tones for the head

My favorite online broadcasts lately have been XStream Radio,
Drugmusic.com and Screamin' Streamin' Audio.

No doubt had an effect on my compiling
the latest program on Headtones Radio:

"Absent Without Leave"

http://www31.brinkster.com/headtones/headtonesradio.html#awol

the 13th installment of Headtones and it's another
metamorphosing mind bender of a program for outlanders.

The show starts out with some modern nods to psychedelic rock,
morphing mostly instrumental and idm oriented but not without the
usual couple of monkey wrenches thrown in for third ear fun.

Playlist length: 81 min.s | Streaming STEREO .m3u 32 and 128 kbps

Artist - Selection
(see playlist page for more info, artist links and "tune in" links)

Good stream AgentA. Cool combo thumleft . Probably the broadest spectrum in a single program so far, yet it holds together in a way I dig (although I can't figure out how you did it) and follows smoothly. Really good on the head. Kept my brain bouncing back & forth to different realms shakng2 - listened to it while working & it kept things fresh.

The Meelkop & Bruen pieces were cool - almost sounded like natural field recordings - I've got some bird tapes from an Australian rain forest that sound nearly identical to some of Bruen's sonic manipulations - but the Fields piece is particularly good - classic abstract electronics done up in a very comtemporary styling.

I'll try to check out those other streams you mentioned, but lately I'm clocking in at 46 kbps, so I'm not very optimistic (yours streamed just fine though). thumb up well done
