Nord Leads vs Nord Wave

I have the Nord Wave, but having never owned a nord lead, I wouldn't know the difference. Basically, what I need to know is whether it is worth investing in the previous nord leads 1, 2 and 3 or will my wave do the same job?
I'm so impressed with the wave and the quality of sound that is produced that the nords look like a good way to go if they are different machines. I need a good electronic drum set source and I hear the NL's are good at this. Do they all have FM synthesis? How many slots do they provide?
Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance.

Your Wave does the same job, only better 
What you are missing on the Wave is Percussion mode (As you noticed already) and an Arpeggiator. The rest is much better then the NL's.
They do have FM synthese, only not as good as the Wave, but they have 4 Slots, which only two are used, in practice...
Concerning Percussion mode, the Wave will have an Editor, eventually. This tool provides the use of a sample assigned to all keys or just one of them (also little groups). One can build it's own Percussion mode. So when Clavia releases the Editor I will publish *.wave files containing the NL Percussion mode and some created on the Nord Modular Classic.
At the moment I'll advise you to dive into the Wave, however, if you want some more nice Clavia gear, take a look at the G2 and read it's Manual for a change. Just dream what you can do using the Midi Out!
BTW!!! Miles, you have an Engine, didn't you?

Thanks again Wout for the advice. I am indeed looking forward to the new sample editor arriving. Then as you say I will be able to make my own drum maps using samples.
In the mean time I have an Engine which I can use for drums. I may well over time get myself the earlier NL racks just to beef up the studio and have more nord multitimbrality (if thats a word).
I am using max quite a lot to control my outboard gear. I find it more useful than the Engine, just cos I know more about it.
I have been diving into the wave over the last week or so and I am very impressed with it. The sound quality is just amazing and it is very versatile.
