I've lately realized our band's needs for a sample player is relatively simple and might be met by a Max/MSP patch. Gives me a reason to pull up the Max/MSP on my ancient iBook.

Anybody use either of the following?

Blob Player:
http://www.lewiskeller.com/

TsAmpX:
http://mmturner.home.mindspring.com/software.html

We just want to play back audio clips of noises, beats, etc. No realtime processing, resampling/live sampling, etc. needed.

I don't use either of those. I usually just use buffer~ and phasor~ which I control to get some sort of frequency control. it feeds to a wave~ construct. That is what I use to make the noises...

Here's a picture of something I use. i dunno if it's useful but you be the judge.
