Ooops! I was on the wrong page. Didn't realize this was resolved. If a circuit doesn't work the same with the tempco as with a film resistor of the same value, the reason is usually that the inductance of the tempco is inducing a spurious oscillation.

I prefer the adhesive and usually add a "service loop" to my tempco leads.

Thanks James,
what is a "service loop"? |

I have an idea! The tempco may be inducing oscillations. This is quite common. Try putting a small cap (20pF - 100pF) across it.
I have suggested that this may also be the reason the RW VCO only tracks over 3-5 oct. But nobody (including RW) seems to want to check it out.

Hello Ian, I will try it...
But where I put the capacitor? within the resistor and ground? or before? |

I just have received the two frontpanels, and I have in-fill like in this fonik's thread: http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=fill+stik&t=19065
I didn't found the "Liquer Stik fill in color" in local stores so I have used standard acrylique paint with good results.
I have used black and red like the last modules designs of Matthias.
In my opinion the result is amazing... see below...

wow, that looks really good!! and it looks like the acrylic paint (for artists?) is better to work with? how did you remove the abundand color?
the use of this acrylic paint would open up new possibilites: not just black, white, red, blue... _________________

Yes, for artists like us! ja ja!
Yes is standard acrylic paint for artists, you can found it in any artist store.
I have removed the abundant color only with a humid cloth, and after with a dry cloth.
It is very easy.
And with blue, yellow, red white and black you will have all the colors!! |

Hello,
Well I just have finished one of them.
To wire them and mount the PCB to the front panel was more work that I expected.
Because one image is worth more than 100 words and my limited English I attach some pictures.
Now I'm stopped with silly doubts about the knobs. I have already choose them but I am doubting about the size, 11mm (more comfortable front panel) or 13mm ( more long knob response). Also doubting about colors.
So, the next post will be my two fonitronik filters completely finished, so I want to start to say all you MANY MANY THANKS! , how great are the internet and how great is electro-music.com!
