Is there a line of code to exit all shreds and the vm?

....other than using Machine.crash() or "CTRL+C"?

"chuck --kill"

At your terminal will do that. I think you could also send that as a as a request using

Std.system( "chuck --kill")

I never tried that last line but in theory it should work. Typically the worst I do is have a shred kill it's parent-shred so the whole set of shreds leaves, leaving the VM running if something else is going on.

I can't think of any other way to kill everything as there is no way to know the highest shred's id.
