OS X has evolved into a truly versatile platform, rekindling the passion for computing among users and developers alike. Clearly it's today's platform for innovation. Rendezvous, Bluetooth, digital music, mobile computing, digital video, AirPort Extreme, and on and on--all have Mac competitors feverishly revamping their product plans trying to keep up. Meanwhile, Mac users themselves, and the administrators who support them, are learning to master the incredible wealth of functionality that's now available.


The third annual O'Reilly Mac OS X Conference, to be held Oct. 25 - 28 in Santa Clara, CA, is looking for proposals from the people who are creating the future of the Mac -- the developers building the applications that the Wintel world is chasing, the admins who've figured out how to tap the open source toolbox to work within complex and mixed environments, small business owners who are powering their bottom line with Apple solutions, and digital musicians who've learned to leverage OS X muscle to create, catalog, and publish their content.
