Hi-

I'm trying to export a wav file using LAME from Audacity. I'm having an awfully difficult time finding how to export it to any bitrate other than 128. I'm trying to get it up to at least 248. Preferrably 320 or a VBR.

Any guides? I looked on the LAME site and their help didn't change anything. I feel like there should be more options when LAME opens up for me, but only get the choices ID3v1 or ID3v2.

thanks for any suggestions

Wow. I found it.

I thought maybe installing the newest version of LAME would help. When I went to show audacity where LAME was located (under Preferences -> File Formats) and in the same area, you can choose bitrate.

Through File/preferences, on the file formats tab you can set a bit rate to use for mp3 - took me a while as well to find it.
