then stop. Smile you're not adding anything to the discussion other than misinformed assumptions. Smile "If it works on the NordLead2 is also does on the NordLead2X..." is not true at all because of the sysex differences.

Of course you're right, but knowing the NordLead and the NordLead2 are compatible (to be honest these versions differ more from each other than the NordLead2 and 2X) why shouldn’t those last two be compatible too? Sure, most of the work for myself and some costumers is done on the Lead2 rather than the latest version, but using the Buffer always works… I’m happily uploading all the SysEx files from the 2X into my Lead2 AND Lead (original), the latest just skipping things like RingModulator, Sine wave and Distortion. Okay, a Bank dump into the synths will cause some troubles, but that’s why a Librarian is important!

Why do I like an Editor/Librarian?
The NordModular and G2 both have dedicated Editors, not only useful to create sounds, but also to exchange them. In almost 20 years the NordLead community published about 2000 Programs on the net, where the Modulars in less than six years produced over 27 000! Not that’s a good thing, because 27 000 are as less as zero! Totally unworkable! But there was an exchange Very Happy

@msepsis: Can you send an example of each .syx patch file and I'll point out any differences in a table for cross reference and make the appropriate adjustments to the software if necessary.

Also, this is a separate case from the 'single controller dump' case. Similar issue, different protocol (CC data and not sysex). The 'Single controller dump' will be just that... all CC param values sent from the synth in CC message format.

Thanks,
lanrosta
