This was on the NM list and seemed so useful that I'm copying it over here to the forum for safe keeping:

-------------------

does anyone also have the problem, that the left octave shift button gets stuck when pressing it? Its kinda annoing, especially when playing in a live situation… I opened the G2, but I guess I can’t really change anything – or I would try to make the whole a little bigger…

>> Can you explain how you fixed it? I also have a stuck button on my G2.

I opened the G2 and took the red top thing off (don't forget the two screws
at the bottom, you can also take the cables off).
Then I loosened the screws (the silver ones) from the board from the top
thing (the board where all the knobs are on) and pressed it into the
direction which would give the stuck button more space while tightening one
silver screw (the closest to the stuck button). Check if it works... That
should be it, if it works screw the screws tight and put everything back
together... if not try moving the board a little more.
Hope that helps! My modular feels totally new again Smile Its crazy how little
hardware is in that thing...
Anyways - good luck.
