Does anyone have an FPD file for a panel for a 19-inch rack mount chassis, preferably 2U high, but 1U is fine as well? Any project will do - I am designing one and in the data sheet the manufacturer of the enclosure (Bud) gives all the measurements except for how far in the screws that mount the panel to the chassis are. I did my own measurements and plan to print out and verify before ordering, but if I could see one someone else has done to compare that would be great.

open FPD software and create a new panel:
File / New : system 19'' Front Panel, U Height 1 (or whatever), Thickness
OK

Insert / System Holes : System 19'' Front panel (Schroff or Fischer)
OK

delete the holes you don't need.

you are welcome Very Happy

schroff and fischer are the number one suppliers of 19'' enclosures here in germany and schaeffer is a german company.
schaeffer should take care of more suppliers and should provide more macro objects. a library would be great (like an eagle components library). even expressPCB offers a library with the most common components...
