hi there!

can i replace a tl064 by a tl084? it's for a vca.
I understand that tl064 is jfet, does it matter?
can't post the schematic beacause it's copyrighted... sorry

They are both JFET input. The TL064 has a lot lower quiescent current than the TL084 so unless its a battery powered device or has a undersized power supply you shouldn't have a problem. The TL084 has less distortion too.
