How large is the download?
Is it a single file (iso, zip, rar) ? _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this. I'm pretty new to the G2 and modular synthesis. I have enjoyed Roland's work here very much. _________________ Good good study, day day up! |

Hi Ark, it's me again
As far as I know the project is finished, there was a little party during which the first DvD was presented and soon after it Roland became seriously ill... At this moment he's still recovering, but very slowly.
I have this information out of the third hand, so maybe he sold the whole project to a competitor and in now living on the Bahama's
We'll wait then until good news...

hey ... just to let everyone know, I contacted Roland Kuit about a week back and he informed me that the English version is now ready.
But maybe someone can help me out, as he gave me a giro account number to transfer the money to, but I dont know what giro accounts are, or how they work. What I want to know is, is it possible to directly wire transfer money to a giro account from a bank current or saving account? |

I think it's mostly a European thing. More information here.
For prospective purchasers in the USA, I hope he will accept PayPal. |

Giro in the Netherlands is, or was, an account with the Postbank, which has gone up into the ING bank recently. The giro number really is just a bank account number to which money could be transferred (and it did not change with the name change of the bank). To be able to do so from abroad you'd need the international version of that number, or the IBAN (Intrernational Bank Account Number) and the BIC (or SWIFT) identification code for the bank. Roland should be able to give you these details when he would have a look at : http://www.ing.nl/particulier/betalen/betalen-en-het-buitenland/afkortingen-buitenlandbetalingen.aspx
Or you could do it yourself ... the BIC code for the ING bank is : INGBNL2A
then you fill in the (national) account number (as given by Roland) into this page : https://www.ing.nl/particulier/betalen/betalen-en-het-buitenland/iban-zelf-uitrekenen.aspx and then click "IBAN opvragen" (request IBAN) to get the International version of the account number.
Sometimes the address of the foreign bank is needed as well for international transfers .... which would be :
ING House
Amstelveenseweg 500
1081 KL Amsterdam
Nederland
Tel: 020 541 5411
paypal would be easier .. yes _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

hi blue hell,
thanks for the info. Paypal would surely be a lot easier. Ive requested him to see if he can use that or moneybookers, so here's hoping he does. |

and @ ark, yup ur right, it is mostly a european thing, but it gets confusing, coz theres also a bank in the netherlands calling itself girobank, and theres an interbank giro system in use by 16 international banks for quick internal transfers amongst them. So while the term giro was originally used, and is still used for postal accounts, and works somewhat like a bank account with a post office, it gets confusing coz some other financial institutions also use the term giro for other purposes.
I'd already wiki'd it before asking here, but the information on there wasnt clear .... here's another link http://www.awcoslo.org/Sections/LivingInOslo/how_to_use_a_giro.htm |
