I see you're using Swedish papers for the potty bit, are they more suitable?

Yup - the pickups works just fine Smile

Unfortunately I didn't establish a reference for testing the actual effects of the potting, so I can't honestly say whether, or to which degree, it has helped Embarassed

They are certainly no worse (of course not!). The acoustic pickup may posssibly sound less tinny, but then it even had some buzzing previously from the flimsy housing. The pole pieces in the GK-3 (actually each of the six pickup assemblies) are now staying in a fixed position, whereas previously they were moving around almost just by looking at them. I'll trust the VG gurus on that one.

The big point of the experiment was the potting process itself, and that went down with flying colours. Detectable effects or placebos aside, I do know that they are better damped than before, which can only be good. If there has to be a conclusion, it would be: Go right ahead and pot'em, you can't go wrong! Very Happy
