Looks good. Try running 'make clean' and then compiling again.

... Same thing.

it's look to me more than he doesn't find gcc-4.2 when he want to compile:
Code:
gcc-4.2: pas de fichier à l'entrée

means that there is nothing in the entry ...

arghh...
but keep cool, i come back on this problem at another moment...

thanks for all

I'm on Ubuntu Intrepid with G++ 4.3 (and gcc 4.3) and things compile just fine (lots of warnings, but no fatalities). Is it because I have g++ installed and that's what is used rather than gcc? Or is it because I'm on a 32-bit Ubuntu install?

Just hoping I can shed some light on the situation

********EDIT: whoops, I thought the issue was with Chuck, not the miniAudicle. Nevermind. Just a misleading thread title.

No, that's a interesting note.

The Mini's compile process fails at the included ChucK VM so I had assumed it would fail for plain ChucK as well; the mini simply has a dir of the whole ChucK source as a part of it's own source.

This leads to the question whether we *could* build it using 4.3 when replacing the source of the older version of ChucK (the mini lags one version right now) with the newest one and have that work. Let me try that later today and see if that works.

I was bored so I decided to give this a try, and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a functional miniAudicle with an editor so clear!

So to recap:
- download & extract miniAudicle
- download & extract chuck1.2.1.2
- delete the chuck1.2.1.1 folder inside the miniAudicle folder
- move the chuck1.2.1.2 folder into the miniAudicle folder
- rename the chuck1.2.1.2 folder to chuck1.2.1.1
- build as per regular directions

I haven't fully tested this build, but I don't imagine a newer version of the VM would erroneously effect the mini. Please report otherwise.

Yeah, I tested that, that's what I've been running on my Linux box for months now. Works perfectly.

But are you saying it compiles that way for GCC4.3?

yup, gcc 4.3

Code:
apt-cache policy gcc
gcc:
  Installed: 4:4.3.1-1ubuntu2
  Candidate: 4:4.3.1-1ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 4:4.3.1-1ubuntu2 0
        500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
