Maurice Martenot, for inventing one of the earliest electronic (well, electroacoustic is more accurate because of the special loudspeakers) instruments, which also happens to be extremely expressive (to my mind the most express instrument ever) - the Ondes Martenot.

I'm also fond of Milton Babbitt because he has an awesome name.

Having mentioned the ondes Martenot, I should probably mention also Olivier Messiaen who was one of the first (and definitely the best known) composers to use it.

I really love the ondes Martenot - does it show?
