Hey I need some reallllly basic help here, I just got my synth and I've looked around and can find no help anywhere for this. There's some patches (specifically, from Clavia's website) that I want to download onto my Nord Lead 2x, but I have no idea how to even begin this process. I've obviously got midi cables and the like, and I've heard some discussion about a program called G2.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

welcome frankthetank9991

First of all the G2 is another synthesizer made by Clavia DMI and has nothing to do with the NordLead2X. Most likely the information you have is about the use of an Editor program, like the G2 is using.

I assume you have Midi cables, a Midi Interface and know how to connect these to each other.
Then you need a program to send the data to your synth.
see http://electro-music.com/forum/post-209876.html#209876

Clavia uses Midi data to upload a bank, mostly using the *.mid format.
At http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/020_NordLead2/021_Patches/ the format is SysEx, only to be used for single Programs, not banks nor Performances.
