Sustain or hold function in the Nordlead |
 |
|
Is there a possibility to hold or sustain just one voice in a four part performance, so that I can tweak a sound with my left hand while the chord I play sustains? |

Yes, but also with some restrictions. Remember the design, although still in production, is almost 15 years old!!!
In a Performance just activate the Arpeggiator in that particular Slot, set the amout to zero, so it won't run, just sound the keys played. Using [Shift+Arp] Hold is activated. Play it and the other Slots will die, while you tweak the sustained sound, but, I have a feeling you want more and more You want to play on using your right hand, don't you? In that case you have to use Split mode, using a SplitPoint as low as you can afford in the playing and be sure to have the to be tweaked Slot in focus (blinking LED, remember?) Then you can use your right hand playing the two other Slots.
The rule is: as soon as you touch keys in Hold function, the notes change to the new keys...

So if I understand you right, I can use the hold function of the arpeggiator for a left hand voice and play with the right hand another voice at the same time. |

Create a Performance, which is able to save the KeyBoard Split settings, opens with the Gain closed, turn the Gain knob to zero also (otherwise the immediate acting will produce a strange starting sound, activate Hold [Shift+Arpa] because Performance doesn't save this, play the chord and open up the Gain. Tweak every knob you like (beware of the immediate feature) and play the right hand too.
About immediate: when a Program or Performance is loaded the parameter and the knob don't have the same value. As soon as you turn a knob, this value imitate itself to the sound, so jumps are mostly the result...
The same thing goes for Midi Out also, concerning the SonicCell...
