Ahh, sorry! Sad

I'm pleased it's pretty much as a wrote it so any mistakes, you'll have to blame me, not SOS. Laughing

Also, the boxout about Another Member of EM.com is there! Yaay! I was scared they'd cut it out due to space considerations.

I won't say who it is yet because I'm a tease... Razz

BTW. any new additions to your modular rig? I guess you must have a wishlist?

I guess there are two strategies that will feel just right, preferably both at the same time..

1.) Always get new exciting modules..
2.) Get more of everything..

Very Happy

scratch The only problem I have right now is that the dotcom is so huge that if I´m to add another cab then I´ll have to put the beer fridge somewhere else. Shocked

Sadly, no. I'm going through very un-settled personal stuff so money is a bit of a worry. Sad

Ahh, I would love to! I think I'd get some of the Tiptop stuff, maybe The Harvestman too?

Ahh, yeah! I was so tempted by the dotcom gear, particularly after your glowing endorsements. But I just haven't got the space!

Yeah, let's just say I looked round a lot of modular/synth forums but never d-cloaked on any apart from here. Too low a signal / noise ratio on most of them, too many pissing contests and weird cliques. I really can't be arsed with all that. Whereas, on here, there are hugely knowledgable people who are polite and helpful. No-brainer, really! Cool

Thank you!

Yeah, it took me bloody ages to write. It was originally meant to be a two-parter but they liked it enough to combine it and make it a cover feature, which I'm very chuffed by. Very Happy

Thank you! Apart from encouraging more people to visit this august forum, I do hope it makes people less scared of modulars. But I was very, very wary myself. E-m helped dispel a lot of that F.U.D. so thanks again to everyone on here!

No problem, matey! I felt the article needed grounding in someone who does day-to-day bread'n'butter work with a stupidly massive modular system. And that's you! Very Happy

These huge modulars don't look (to me) like musical instruments but as altars where priests make sacrifices or offerings (emptying wallets Rolling Eyes ) to a synthetic deity. they are imposing as gothic cathedrals.
I prefer the coziness of softsynths Wink

nevertheless it is a great article Very Happy thanks for mentioning electro-music.com Exclamation

I think it's cool that SOS would take a chance one what seems, to a lot of people, quite a geeky area and stick it on the front cover. thumb up

Jyoti, what do you think about my EChucK project in the context of synth resurgence among the youth? It's like micro-mini synth modules hooked together into synth sculptures via solid wire. I can elaborate. The project is in it's infancy but has such great potential...
