PAiA Sub Forum, anyone? |
 |
|
I know I've only been at this site for a little bit and haven't posted much, but I have yet to find a sub-forum dedicated solely to PAiA kits in the DIY forum. I'm just curious, I see many other DIY synth sub forums that should be there, such as Ken Stone, YuSynth, and MFOS, but no PAiA? That just strikes me as odd...
Just curious, where do I post questions regarding PAiA gear? |

That's a good question. Many of us on here currently, or have owned, PAiA gear. I myself in my 36 years of knowing of PAiA never have seen or posted on a PAiA forum, though I'm sure at least 1 must exist somewhere on the planet. |

Good suggestion. We will set up such a forum soon.
Thanks. _________________ --Howard

The PAIA sub forum has been created and this is the first topic. PAIA fans, please post whatever you think might be of interest to other PAIA fans. _________________ --Howard

Great! I'll post some pix. Back in the 80s I had very little money, but more time, so I built a lot of PAiA stuff. I still have most of it. Funny, I have sold lots of other gear that I merely bought, but I rarely sell something I make myself.
Still have:
Anderton Electronic Projects:
CA-1 preamp x2,
CA-8 limiter/comp x2,
CA-17 super tone control x2,
CA-18 8x1 mixer x3,
tube head,
9601 stereo compressor,
6790 dual limiter,
9209 ducker/gate,
5750 axe grinder,
5760 roctave divider,
5710 hot lyx and
5700P drum synth (4 channel).
I bought but never built and ultimately sold the vocoder kit (I still have my Roland SVC-350) and I ultimately trashed my Hot Springs reverb because I couldn't get it to not be noisy.
More later,
Cheers,
Otto |

Hi everyone!
I am just finishing my P9700S (first) modular synth, everything seems electrically working, now it's time to calibrate.
I also expect to build a Quadrafuzz and a DualLimiter to escort the synth.
I promised myself not to buy anything I could build myself, and PAiA stuff seems to be a good compromise: I buy AND I build.
Nothing much exciting to say for the moment, but I'll post some sound demos asap.
Keep up the good vibrations! |
