67 - 3 June 2011

Missed May. There is a show in May that was snippets of old shows.

This one has Geoff playing cello with me.

I liked this one. Pleasant relaxation music in a coherent arrangement.

Number 68. Low Pressure.

For the Solstice and the full moon with the eclipse and all that, it's been raining steadily with low clouds. A low pressure system fed via El Nino apparently. It's with us a while.

This theme was actually in my head all week too. The rest of the stuff was ephemera as usual. I really enjoyed playing this one. It worked out really well as I played it. I hope it sounds as good as a recording.

69 - with Geoff on cello again. I'm going to miss him as he's going back to Canada next month. We really didn't have anything planned and this actually worked much better for it, I suspect. We didn't have a server to perform it through until Thomas provided one, so it did get heard. This has a lot of really nice cello/piano and cello/EWI stuff.

Number 70 - Full Moon Fiasco - My last Ephemera with Geoff - sniff! - he's going back to Canada. This was pretty. I really enjoyed playing this and so did Geoff.

I can hardly believe I'm up to 70 shows now. That's 140 hours of these things.

Show number 71, 5 August 2011

Whuf! I don't remember playing solo being this much work! Geoff has gone back to Canada and I took this uptempo for a good bit, and fully ambient for about the first hour. Lots of piano solo because I've been playing a lot of piano lately too. But the uptempo was quite challenging especially since I did a lot of EWI on it.

Anyway enjoy.

72 - Aug 19 2011

Chilled. Mostly, anyway. I was very chilled, it's been a long week.

The studio these are made in. Each show is, well, an ephemera, never to be repeated live again. I get home from work, start preparing, and play for two hours whatever themes I had prepared. They never do what I expect, even if I expect nothing.

Thank you Jan. That was a nice show. Smile

I forgot to mention here that Edison's Ephemera is going off the air for a while. At least through September while I'm away. It needs to move timeslots, which on Fridays is now no longer possible to move, so it's going somewhere else, and probably a shorter (one hour) slot. I'll figure it out when I get back.

Heard this on radio.electro-music.com: http://radio.electro-music.com/forum/post-281266.html#281266 - A 2010 era Edison's Ephemera program - on the iPhone.

Now listening with main studio ambiophonic system.

It's very beautiful.
