I hope this will be a place where we can all benefit from sharing ideas and knowledge related to the development and workings of electro-music devices of all kinds, hard and soft. Let's post our questions and suggestions, info on interesting developments and projects etc., and generally have a friendly tech talk

Relevant subjects includes:

programming and design
programming languages and toolchains
electronic and mechanical design tools
measurement instruments and lab equipment
synthesis methods and algorithms
maths, physics, chemistry etc.
interesting and emerging technologies
product and project ideas and presentations

In other words, most technical topics that aren't covered by other subforums should be right at home here.

A small update:

To avoid too much overlap with the main DIY section, I'd like posters to consider that if you seek a "ready made" DIY project, the main section is the best place for that. E.g. if you want a recommendation for an existing schematic, or if you need help with an existing DIY project/schematic, please post in the main DIY section.
