hey there.

i want to re-mod my most successful bent to finally transform it into a sort of keytar. i don't want it to become a usual keytar with keys on the corpus but some knobs and switches on the main plate and all the keys on the "neck".

as i said, i don't want them to stay usual keys but momentary push buttons.

is it possible to just solder the two ends of the button pattern on the pcb (wherte to conductive rubber pad under the actal key touches the pcb) to wires and finally solder them to a momentary touch button???

Seems like it would work, I'm thinking about something similar, you might have an easier time following the button's trace along the PCB until you see a solder point to attach a wire to. Going right to the pcb might be delicate and harder. Haven't tried it though. I think one end of the button connects to a common trace with some of the other buttons, that might be important to map out, how that common bus works.
