Mix Mode MIDI Subject description: Playing one program in a mix, without hearing the other's? |

My first post... I've had the A6 for a week, what a synth. It's infinite!
How do we play individual layers in a "Mix" without hearing the other layers?
I have the A6 behaving properly playing from my sequencer (Logic. On a macbook pro) - All layers playing indervidially
But when im actually playing, in "mix mode" i hear all the layers. Shouldn't it receive the MIDI echo back from Logic telling it what MIDI channel to play, and thus what program in the mix?
What im trying to do is: Play with multiple layers, separately.
Have multiple A6 MIDI tracks in Logic (each with different MIDI channels) and when i click on them, playing the A6 will only play the program in the "Mix" that is on that MIDI Channel.
Thanks for any help

You will have to turn kbd on or off for which ones you want to actually play. You can also specify different ranges of the keyboard for each sound. So...turn "KBD" off for all the instruments that are run by MIDI only, then the sounds you want to actually play, you will have to specify which part of the keyboard you want to play that sound. Easy as that!! |

Thanks Dylan. That's it!
I found that function last night. But wanted to make sure there wasn't another way i had missed. As usually with other multi program synths i've used, they receive the MIDI echo back telling them what MIDI channel to play.
Thanks again for the prompt reply.
